The Church Deployed
When COVID-19 hit, we all felt the loss of being together. Church feels different when we’re gathering by ourselves or with our families instead of as a large group. However, perhaps this disruption, this dispersion provides us with a great opportunity to share Jesus’ love right where we’re at.
For the next six weeks, we will journey together, learning how to more faithfully reach the lost, restore the broken, and reproduce disciples who make disciples. The church is to be gathered around the mission, not Sunday morning worship. The key is how we scatter, not gather. We are released into Jesus’ mission of reconciliation.
To help us along the way, we will dive into intentional practices that make up “B.L.E.S.S.” B.L.E.S.S. is a way of doing life on purpose. It’s a way to practically and tangibly share Jesus’ love with our friends and neighbors. We will discover creative ways to pursue the Jesus Mission as well as how we discover our own particular and unique part in Jesus’ Mission. Each week we will focus on a particular story from Jesus’ life or from scripture that demonstrates His mission and how He fulfilled it through B.L.E.S.S.ing others, and how we are Becoming Like Jesus Together as we do the same.
