Summer is once again around the corner, and so we eagerly anticipate joining other Kansas City churches in the What if the Church movement. Eight years ago, What if the Church began as a collaboration of a few area churches that wanted to worship together, serve together, and live out their faith together. For the past several years, CCC has been a part of this growing movement throughout the KC metro. This year we are excited to partner with Mission Church, a young Nazarene church located right here in Lenexa (missionchurchonline.com), and Freedom Fire, one of our local serve partners who serve and worship with the poor and overlooked in urban Kansas City. (freedomfire.org).
For 3 Sundays beginning May 22nd, pastors from each church will swap pulpits, giving us an opportunity to hear different perspectives of how God is at work in our midst. Finally, What if the Church culminates in a combined Serve Day on Saturday June 11th, from 8am-1pm, where people from all three ministries will serve together in our community. Sign ups for projects will begin on May 22nd in the foyer. We hope you will join us in participating in this powerful movement as the churches of Kansas City join as one to serve in God's Kingdom together.
