About the Night of Worship: Dr. Tony Evans will be speaking. Dr Evans pastors the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Texas and has a widely syndicated radio ministry. The program will also feature a performance from the Culture House along with an All-Metro 200 voice Mass Choir under the direction of Tim Bailey and the First Raytown Celebration Orchestra.
Why a Worship Event?: The Worship Night is a fitting way to climax the What If the Church emphasis on the Lord Jesus. First, we exchanged pastors who spoke about Jesus meeting with the woman at the well and his reaching out to someone outside of Judaism. Second, the service projects on June 9th. Our congregation joined with 30 other churches around the KC Metro helping the needs of our community. We specifically focused of on the Franklin Building in Argentine, the Advice and Aid Picnic, Mercy and Truth and Rachels Tea House.
What is What if the Church?: Is a group of churches in the Kansas City Area that poses the question – What if the Church of Kansas City, in all its diversity of congregations, banded together for the purpose of making Jesus famous in this city through love?
