Tom Greenwald

Associate Pastor of Student Ministries

Tom grew up in Dubuque, IA. He received his B.A. in Youth Ministries from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where he met and married his wife Amy, a native New Englander. For the past eleven years, he has served in churches in New Hampshire and Michigan, before moving to Kansas City. He has an M.A. in Youth Ministry Leadership from Huntington University in Indiana. He and Amy have been married since 1999, and have two boys Jacob and Ezekiel.

Tom is passionate about creating an authentic, missional community where students encounter Jesus, find healing for brokenness, are challenged to grow deeper in their journey with Christ, and are empowered to engage their world with the love of Jesus. His vision is for the student ministry be a community that “spurs one another on to love and good deeds” (Heb. 10:24) in order to bring glory to God, representing Him well in our culture.

He enjoys playing music (bass guitar, drums, and guitar), loves New England sports (especially the Patriots), and is a lover of movies. Tom loves to share meals with people and believes the best conversations happen around food!
